On this day:

1:45 Easy/Steady, 15 Miles Approx.

Ran from Newbury to 'Calcot Park', Calcot with Rob in my blue NB 832's. Got rather dehydrated due to the heat, and strong sunlight. Also I tired due to the distance, I haven't got a proper long run in for about a month! Right knee felt very sore across the the top of the knee cap, but I think I've pinned the cause down. When I'm running on loose gravel (like on large sections of the canal!), I get the pain on the paw-back action, as I'm losing traction, so I think its just tendon tightness. I'm going to avoid the canal for the rest of the week, and stick to road/grass surfaces. Something to monitor though. Left knee where I hit it is fine, hip is relatively good & shins are fine, so overall I'm just about in one piece!

Steady on son, thats more than what we did on any of the mondays in Breane!! and we went into those 2 weeks without doing a race at the weekend. The trick is to do the least you have to to help you improve. Nobody likes being injured :-( Take care Matey
