Physio session- knee niggles...
I saw Wendy Davies again this morning for diagnosis on my right knee. Its appears to be quite a minor complaint, as I'm not getting restriction of movement or crescendo pain, and weight bearing isn't a significant problem. She reckons it stems from my right iliotibial band being too tight, thus pulling my knee cap laterally. This has resulted in my Vastus Medialis tightening up in compensation. This tightness in the muscles surrounding the joint has put tension on the insertions of the relevant muscles (felt through the vas med insertion, as it is the weakest of the muscles involved) & tendons that stabilize the kneecap. Solution is:b) Massage the Vastus Medialis muscle
c) Mobilize the kneecap
