On this day:

3 x 10 minutes, 8 Miles approx

SESSIONS don't come much tougher than this beast. I was surprised at just how arduous running the 'Burnie Loop' could be..

15 minutes warmup in older NB 832's
3 x 10 minutes around the Burny Loop, 5 minute recoveries in Nike Air Zoom Marathoners
10 minutes cooldown in Nike Air Zoom Marathoners
8 Miles total

The workout consisted of running 10 minute efforts around the Burnie, or one complete Burnie loop, whichever comes first. I covered a complete loop of the Burnie on all 3 repetitions (a debutant club workout record, apparantly) clocking 9:55, 9:50 & 9:58 respectively. For the first rep the last three minutes felt tough. In the second rep only the first three minute felt OK, the remainder was tough. For the last rep I felt pretty shot from the start, and was dragging my arse for the last 3 minutes, but due to sensible pacing strategy I managed to still clock a complete 'Burnie'.

I had no niggles afterwards, I just felt spent. All in all, a grand workout!
